Because it's more expensive to produce, because it's made to a higher quality and out of better parts. That's why it's more expensive.

People need to decide whether they think the PS3's advantages are worth the price. It's again personal preference.

If I got to take one console to a desert island with me, where I would stay for the rest of my days...

(A) Console never breaks, and power is not a concern.

(B) Cost of the console, and any media is not a concern.

(C) You get all the games the console can play, any music it can play, and any movie it can play.

(D) Online play is free, even if there is "usually" a charge, and the connection is top-notch.

60GB launch PS3, easily. No other console even comes close. Even if the movies and music didn't come to the island, it would still be the 60GB PS3.  If there was a king, in the gamer's eyes... that'd be it, I think.

Strange question, though.

Because the creation of the PS3 is the single greatest occurance in the history of mankind.

It even edges out the creation of mankind itself.

nope it isnt, still some things that have to be proven and sales figures to attain before that title is earned. my king of all consoles would be the 360, then the ps2 and then the n64.
