I don't see why it's a big deal if someone loves the PS3 that much. It's all about opinions, and it's not as if we're voting for it to rule our country. There's always the option to claim another console as your favorite. My favorite personally shifts between my moods.

Because it's more expensive to produce, because it's made to a higher quality and out of better parts. That's why it's more expensive.

People need to decide whether they think the PS3's advantages are worth the price. It's again personal preference.
