I was under the impression co-op was announced for Galaxy???????

I got my wii at lauch and got 2 wii motes, I said then that when the day came whne I needed to 2nd nunchuck come i'd get one - to this day I still only have one but I do think either Galaxy, Ghost Squad or Resident Evil Umbrella Cronicles will be the day when I do purchase one.

Those people that think they're perfect give a bad reputation to us who are...

"With the DS, it's fair to say that Nintendo stepped out of the technical race and went for a feature differentiation with the touch screen, but I fear that it won't have a lasting impact beyond that of a gimmick - so the long-lasting appeal of the platform is at peril as a direct result of that." - Phil Harrison, Sony

o yeah forgot about that. i think the second player is just point and shoot so i assume they wont need a nunchuck

Check out my pyro tf2 vid :)

Bet With routsounmanman: By the end of Q1 2008 Capcom WONT have announced a RE5 Wii Edition OR a new RE (classic gameplay) for the Wii (WON)

Co-op for SMG allows a second player to pick up another remote and using the cursor to collect/fire stars and some other abilities, nunchuck not required.

I recommend you get another nunchuck, Wii sports boxing two player is great fun (nunchuck required).

Other games will also require nunchuck in future.

Another example: Fifa or PES with 2 players (or other sportgames ftm)

I see people talking about SSBB and the nunchuck. SSBB will support just about every controller configuration the Wii offers, but wiimote+nunchuck is possibly the worst. The chief designer prefers using a Gamecube controller. I think I'll prefer the classic controller, myself. Wiimote without nunchuck is also a supported control method.

You basically need the nunchuck for coop/vs games. If you are ever going to use it, the investment on a 2nd nunchuck is fine. More than that, right now, is unnecessary.

That's right. It might be more useful in the long term, but at the moment I have rarely (if ever) used my 2nd Nunchuck. 2 player boxing can be fun though.

BTW - nice to see a new poster on the board TomaTito :)

I think certainly at the moment your two nunchucks is easily enough, i currently have two remotes and one nunchuck and am considering a second nunchuck (dunno if they are still scarce here in UK)

The only reason to have more than 2 nunchucks is if you will be playing a lot of 3 or 4 player games like red steel, or SSXBlur....so if you are a 4 player shooter fan, or a boarding game fan you might need more than 2.

as for SSB:B, if you check the site (www.smashbros.com) there are 4 ways to play apparently, either using just a remote, a remote and nunchuck, a classic controller, or a GC controller......it doesn't say what buttons do what though yet so i'm not sure what buttons you need when using the remote on its own.

and for the 3 games you have ordered, only the boxing bit of Wii sports needs a nunchuck, so for two player boxing you need two.....and in Wii play you can (but are not required to) use a nunchuck for the tanks game....but after a few weeks Wii play will probably only come out to play once a month (charge, shooting and tanks are good party type games, just a shame they are only two player max)

out of the games i have... heres whether they use the nunchuck or not

super paper mario - doesnt
need for speed carbon - doesnt

warioware - doesnt. some unlockable mini games do
wii sports & play - only does in one mini game on each

zelda - does
mario strikers - does
resident evil 4 - does

WarioWare uses Nunchuck in certain mainpart games. Orbulon's stage for example.
