They both look good, but the psn version looks a little blander than the XBL version.

The 360 by default is darker, so people adjust their Tv's for that, now when they plug the PS3 in they do not adjust the colours back to the standard level so all PS3 games appear like this in most tests done by sites. And raising or lowering the sharpness even slightly can increase the jagginess or blurryness and make all the tests useless.

My TV has a setting for each HDMI input. I adjust both the PS3 and 360 - and my HD DVR accordingly.

And the settings for the game were in my earlier post.

As per MR Pointy head I gave the tutorial a go to get me some flying lessons.

Well the difference between me and the cartoon above is he exploded in the air. I very rarely do that choosing to mostly explode on the ground.

I now know the difference between the Rudder controls the upsie downie controls and the lefty righty controls. Same effect, Ground /me /plane /crash.
