Forums - Nintendo - Should I get Punchout!! or Little King's Story?

Once I've finally gotten around to buying and playing Metroid Prime 3 (I know, I know, I'm very slow) I think one of these two titles will be the next purchase for me, but I'm undecided.

I hear that both are good games, which one would you get?

Well, Little King's story will last you longer.

Don't bother with MP3, wait a month and get the whole trilogy!

As for Punch-Out!! vs. LKS... I'd prefer not to choose. I guess it's a question of whether you'd like a challenging arcade action game, which can be a little short if you're good at such things, or hours and hours of RTS gameplay.

If you like arcade twitch based puzzle game. Yes, puzzle due to having to figure out all the week spots, how to get stars, 1 punch knockdowns, and everything else. Then buy Punch-Out!! I've put plenty of hours into the game and I still find more hidden secrets to beat people faster.

If you want a RTS type game, then go Little King's Story. I haven't played it myself, but I'm yet to hear anything bad about it.

Personally, I'd go with Punch-Out!! first, but that is because I've always loved punch-out!! If you want a sample of Punch-Out!! you can buy the NES version on the VC for $5. They play similar, so the only downside of doing this is you essentially play about 1/3 of the game via the original.




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Punch-Out

@nordlead I do feel that would be the disadvantage. I've never played a punch out before so I thought it might be nice to start with the wii-version. Especially since I've heard somepeople describe at as an enhanced remake. At the moment I'm leaning slightly in favour of Punchout, but I think I'll probably get LKS some day later if I don't get it right now.

On a completely unrelated note, I know can find out where you live.

Just sayin'.

Seriously though, they're both fantastic games, but LKS lasts much longer and has greater variety. Also, it's going to be impossible to find in about a week, let alone several months.

Edit: Not buying LKS throws your Pikmin-fanhood into question!
