Forums - Nintendo - Should I get Punchout!! or Little King's Story?

On a completely unrelated note, I know can find out where you live.

Just sayin'.

Seriously though, they're both fantastic games, but LKS lasts much longer and has greater variety. Also, it's going to be impossible to find in about a week, let alone several months.

Edit: Not buying LKS throws your Pikmin-fanhood into question!

Does it really bring my Pikmin-fanhood into question? I thought I read a thread recently where Killeryoshis was getting a little aggravated by the LKS-Pikmin comparisons.

@Killeryoshis, yes, I admit it. I did skip Pikmin because I heard the sequel was better. I should get Pikmin 1, but again, I think I'll enjoy it more a little later down the line since I did just play Pikmin 2 very recently.

LKS has been out for months here and is still nice and easy to find.

My birthday's coming up so I might mention both games to my brother and let him decide, making it a surprise.

First, I would strongly suggest waiting to buy MP3 and just get the Metroid Prime Trilogy that is coming out mid-August. It will have MP1, MP2, and MP3 all with 480p, widescreen, and wiimote controls for normal price which is just spectacular!!

Off topic - could someone tell me once and for all is there any difference between Metroid Prime 3 on its own and the Metroid Prime 3 that comes with the Trilogy? Does it come with better display or sound options now?

I reckon I'll get MP3 on its own since I already own 1 and 2 and I think I can get 3 for half the price of the trilogy on Amazon.

as far as i know, mp 3 itself in the trilogy is unchanged, but the first two game been enhanced with ir controls and some kind of achievements (maybe akin to what mp 3 had?)

come try out the computer game i've been working on for my high school senior project, titled sling ball. http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=76669&page=1

you can view a few screenshots from the game in my photo album here; http://www.vgchartz.com/photos/album.php?album=2312

If you like big, long, epic adventures, then no hesitation, Little King Story is one of the best you may find on Wii, alongside Twilight Princess, Okami... and Metroid Prime 3...

Plus, Nintendo has tons and tons of money already, while Cing and X-Seed (or Rising Star here in Europe) need your money more than ever: Little King Story is too niche to reach mass market, and every single sale counts...

Support the creativity and the originality: buy Little King Story, you won't regret it, and maybe buy Punch Out later, in 2nd hand, or when you have extra money to spend...

^ I'm a sucker for the "show your support" argument these days. That's basically why I bought Madworld. Should be even more reason to buy LKS because I hear it's a much better game. I'm also very interested in the music. I love Classical music and I've always wanted to play a game with a good Classical soundtrack.... when I think about all that, I really feel like getting LKS actually.

I'm back at square one!

Well MPTrilogy comes in an awesome metal tin, has all 3 Prime games in widescreen/480p, all on one disc, enhanced graphics and shorter load times. Not to mention all the extra goodies.

OT: Id say LKS. Punch Out will selk great, LKS.....not so much.

Little King's Story. You'll be playing this for many many hours.

I would go with Punch Out over Little King's Story. Easily.

All on one disc? I didn't know that.

Yes, the low sales for LKS does make me want to support it. But I like the look of Punch Out, it seems easier to pick up and play.

@JUG

Yup, its on a dual layered disc, like SSBB. So no swapping out discs if you want to play Prime 2 instead of 3. You can access all the games useing a menu.
