Forums - Nintendo - Why do so few care about Little King's Story?

This thread is strange. There's a bunch of Nintendo fanboys complaining that the game isn't selling because gamers are more interested in generic shooter and action games, but when you look at the top of the charts, most of the best selling games are casual games from Nintendo and third parties. I like playing some of the HD shooters because they're great games and they are fun to play. I enjoy it, and I don't have to be a snob and blame other games for something I like not succeeding. I also don't have to insult people with different tastes.

Some of you disgust me.

This thread revolves around a simple question. Why does a great game get so little recognition? Its hardly involves sales, bitterness towards casual games, or any insults. I have yet to read an insult in this thread. I dont see how you felt you were attacked on a personal level. I dont see why you have to be such an asshole about it.

1. You suck at quoting.

2. There are plenty of insults, try reading the thread.

3. I'm not an asshole, and you're the one insulting others. You're reported.

1. How much LKS cost in the store? $50 or $60?

2. Is this a childrens game or will mature gamers like it? Pretend I'm a guy who likes Anno 1404, Majesty 2 and Stronghold but not The Settlers and not Viva Pinata.

Majesty 2

3. Why is this game not popular? It looks cool and got great reviews. Should sell at least two million copies.

1- I press the HTML button to quote useing my browser. It always does that for some reason. 2- I dont see any insults. I honestly dont. Im dont know what set you off like that. Your post had nothing to do with the topic. No one was questioning your choice in games. Its your pereferance.

@Montana

So stateing the obvious is trolling and insulting? The first link says it all. Current trends in video games that sell well are described. Action, blood, foul language, etc. are all the 'norm' in blockbuster games. Its not insulting to say that. Gears, CoD, Halo, GoW, etc. Is it a bad thing? Not necessarily.

1. $50/€50.

2. The artstyle is cute, but the game is difficult, so there's enough challenge. I don't think you would like it though.

3. There were no commercials for this game and the ads in video game magazines (Central Europe) had the size of a quarter of a page. If you consider that the game is similar to Pikmin (which also got great reviews, had commercials and didn't sell a lot past one million each time), it's pretty obvious that LKS never had a chance to sell two million copies. It's a sort of RTS game and those games generally don't sell all that great on consoles, especially compared to the PC. Not even if they have Halo in the title.

Also, the publisher Marvelous never had a high selling game. They are the same guys who published Odin Sphere for PS2 and recently Muramasa for Wii. Half a million in sales would already be very successful for them. You could say that all their games are gamer's games, meaning that pretty much only people who keep up with the news will know about their games.

Oh, and RTS. I understand the sales then. I thought it was a sim game /empire builder, those games can sell well.

Rol,

Do you like the game? What score would you give Lil King's Story?

No. Should I call you ignorant for being so wrong? Apparently you think it's okay. The blockbusters aren't big shooter games, they're games like Wii Fit and Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games. If you want to point the finger at other games for LKS's failure instead of recognizing the real issues, than those are the games you should be blaming.

I blame wii fit for LKS confirmed. Not enough exercise involved in the game, or shades of brown, green and grey.
