Because of an AAA campaign.
CoD, CoD2 and CoD4 had AAA campaigns and I'm sure MW2 will feature one.

 

Campaigns are worth a rent only.  Bioshock 2 will add multiplayer which the first did not have.   Same as WaW added 4 player co-op in campaign and nazi zombies co-op.   MW2 removes features.

I hope you didn't generalize that, because that would be ridiculous.

For FPS games that last 6-10 hours with no multiplayer for the campaign?   I find it hard to believe anyone would waste money buying a game just for that.

There are millions of them.

I also find it hard to believe that anyone would "waste" money buying a fitness "game", but hey we all know there are .

If I buy it, it'll be for the entertaining single player and a maybe a little multiplayer. I'm waiting for a sale though.

I didn't touch WaW because it seemed like a carbon copy of MW1 but in WW2. Since IW is making this it'll be pretty good and worth my time and money.

If you already have Nazi Zombies with WaW, why do you want MW2 to also have them?  Besides this, where would you fit Nazi Zombies into Modern Warfare?  It doesn't fit at all.

But, if the point is, where does the single player replayability come from, I am wondering the same thing.  What exactly drives a person to play the game single players more than once (or once at each difficulty level)?  If it is all multi-player, then why the heck do I need Modern Warfare 2? Why not get CoD4?  Is it because no one will be playing CoD4, and the entire community moved on?

I think people don't want a nazie zombie mode, just a horde like mode

It is not just MP. SP is great as well. It may be short, but CoD 4 had some of the best SP I have ever seen, I was genuinely sad at the end of the game. Of course they are going to improve multiplayer, just have not said anything about it, so people are assuming it is going to be identical

I guess then it goes back to why I am not that pumped for it.  I don't see the replayability in the single player mode at all, like the Hoard mode in World at War.  I still have World at War for that reason, and also have Gears 2 for the same.  Both I can replay single player.

i would say waw is better but people believe mw2 is better because  it has modern weapons and they criticize waw because the weapons are from the 60s but lets be reasonable one its called world at war and it was meant to be during the 1700s or 1800 am not sure and the other one its called modern warfare 2 wich means its modern up to date so like almost futuristic soi don't see why every one complains about waw i personalize like waw and will not buy mw2 even that i bought the first one

its wierd, you list vehicles . . .

thats what i hated about waw big time, also the dogs which were worse than choppers

but yeh i only play it online so no doubt for me

id prolly buy cod 4 again for 100 bucks if it had 8 new maps and a new gun

when games are as good as madden and cod they can make them everyyear

people love to trash madden but when it comes down to it its more relevant than 99 percent of games out thjere as far as sales, popularity, someone who isnt a gamer might have heard of it, etc
