Since internet (and possibly retail) interest in this isn't near as high as it was with Halo 3, what is something that people either don't know or isn't getting enough attention about the game that would get them REALLY interested in playing it?

ODST will have two multiplayer modes. CO-OP campaign and Firefight which is the Halo equivilant of Gears of War 2's horde mode but alot better and never ends (untill all team lives are spent) It will include its own firefight maps and the Covenant will be using vehicles also. The campaign is supposed to be about 4-5 hours if you just rush through it doing nothing else but remember Halo 3 ODST's campaign map is free roaming so you can explore etc.

And Bungie said they will remain exclusive to the Xbox 360 after the split with Microsoft. Mainly for the fans.

Since we know how everything ultimately ends, will the ending of ODST have an impact on what we already know?

If you're talking about the ending, the Chief ended the entire war with the Covenant and destroyed The Flood.  He is presumed dead by everyone, but the player sees differently.

Nop =p.  Also on the easiest ending you see it.  (People already said that if you beat Halo 1 on legendary you saw a different ending wonder why people are still saying it with the new games aswell).
