Needs less info. Something like:
"High def movies. Blockbuster games. Hi-tech features. Futureproof. The PlayStation 3, starting at $399. PRAY-STAY-SUN"
But slowly, with appropriate video clips in the background.

The "except in Nebraska" always cracks me up
I guess you'll have to accept second place, Spartan, you can never beat this
I think its a good outline, but theyd have to change some of the words, cuz when you read the ending it makes Sony sound really cocky

lol he's got you there spartan

OT: doesn;t sound like a bad idea, but instead of doing them all in one ad, they should do two or three of the "sections" in an ad and decide which "sections" to used based on what show or network it is on.
Not trying to be a fanboy. Of course, it's hard when you own the best console eve... dang it

Dark Knight or Wall-E woul dbe the best Blu-Rays to show
Well that's cool, although Ms have a plan of there own.

What Sony needs in some humorous advertising. The reality is that people just don't give a shit about those features listed. They are not a good argument against a cheap laptop let alone cheap movie players. No what they need to do is make the machine a statement about the owner. Make the buyer look cool for owning the console, and in that mindset I present my idea for a commercial.
Show the console under a big high definition television with a cute cuddly little dog in front of it, and then fade in a mother and young son talking in the background. Have the boy say "Thanks mom for getting me a new dog. I love spot so much he is my new best friend." Then have the mother take the young boy off to school leaving the dog alone in the house.
Then have the PS3 strike back. Have the machine turn on, and pull its power plug from the wall. Then have the line shoot out wrap around the dogs neck, and strangle the dog to death. Then you know show it shoving the dog under a couch. Fade to black.
Say Hello to Your New Best Friend.
Okay well it cannot be as creepy as the Satan baby.

That maybe but what does it have to do with the topic? OT: Spartanfx at it again, brilliant dude. I suggest making this obvious to more than just VG Chartz. |
Thanks dude.you know,,i try to do my thing.
Nah, I don't really love it (no offense). Adverts are about the connotations. Look at the Wii ads with all those smiling people playing together - they put forward two things: fun and social gaming. Same as the 360 ads - remember that one with those people 'shooting' each other with their hands in pretend guns in a train station? It connoted social gaming and fun. A good PS3 ad needs to do the same, not reel off a list of features. You need to engage people and keep their attention.
