Forums - Nintendo - Modern Warfare 2 officially not heading to Wii

No biggie.

Around the Network

...sigh... well my heart is broken. Guess I will have to wait for Call of Duty 7 Vietnam! In the meantime I will be playing COD WAW for my FPS online fix. And Red Steel looks dope.

Conduit cant touch this game for me.

Not surprised. They never would come forth with an answer either way and being this close to launch just didn't make any sense to be so quiet and deceptive about it.

They were working on something regarding Wii and MW2 at one point. What became of it is anyone's guess.

I'll ask my rep tomorrow and see if the official PR line has changed any.

The rEVOLution is not being televised

Why do some act surprised?

Bets with Conegamer:

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

Fullfilled Prophecies

I guess this will help boost conduit sales this holiday season.

sure...

Anyway on topic:

This news doesn't surprise me at all. You might need to take a look on this:

Call of Duty 3 - developed by Treyarch - released on Wii

Call of Duty 4 MW - developed by Infinity Ward - not released on Wii

Call of Duty WaW - devloped by Treyarch - released on Wii

Call of Duty MW2 - under developement by Infinity Ward - no release on Wii

For all those who are dissapointed from that move, here's a thought of mine:

Call of Duty 7 - under devlopement by Treyarch - release on Wii        !!!!!

I wonder why Activision seems to only trust Treyarch with Wii development...

It has absolutely nothing to do with Activision. Treyarch has no problem with developing for the Wii, Infinity Ward is a bunch of arrogant cocks and they won't do it. Activision just doesn't care enough either way. Simple as that.

Apparently Activision doesn't like money after all?

Sry but this is bias and you know it. Infinity Ward created the Call of Duty franchise and no one should tell them what they have to do with it. It was hard enough for them that a second developer now makes a new CoD iteration every 2 years.

From their point of view CoD was never meant to be on the Wii. That doesn't make them arrogant. You don't hear people crying why Ubisoft now makes exclusive Raving Rabbids games for Nintendo platforms.....

Well, have fun with The Conduit, guys...

Why are you assuming they are as pessemistic as you?

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
