Hah hah, that's funny.:P
My oh my...
LOL... There will always be somthing to argue about... boring this boring that... excuse me but the game hasn't even come out yet. Let's wait till then to pass judgement.
As for me, I'm looking forward to this game... this game seems fresh and unique. You want a different kind of game that it seems hasn't been done before? I'm going to try it out, especially as the OP has stated... seems like there are going to be a few surprises...
I game. You game. We game.
I'm a videogamer, not a fanboy, but have a special place for Nintendo.

Exactly, so how is this game only for kids? Kinda ruined your own argument there. It's clear that is designed for everyone, not FOR KIDS as TX109 claims. Perhaps he should have worded it better.
What the would be the point of adding Cthulu, Longcat, etc if the game was designed for kids? No one would ever summon any of them, thus making them completely useless.
And LOL@ people claiming I started the "this game will be boring" thing, there were plenty of other people who said it before I did, and every post of mine since then has been a response to someone else responding to my posts, you want me to leave? Stop responding to my posts, clearly my points have an affect on you, or why else would 3 people in a row feel the need to respond to me?
And Mega LOL@ "not a hardcore action game like you want it to be.", Clearly you didn't read my post where I said I DON'T WANT GOD OF WAR 3, and yes TX109, you're a 15 year old Nintendo fanboy, so your arguments are weak. There IS violence in this game as much as you'd like to deny it, I'm not asking for more violence, I'm asking for something other than generic attack animations.
The thing is, saying "THIS WILL BE THE GAME OF THE CENTURY" or "THIS IS SOOOO EPIC" or "THIS WILL BE THE BEST GAME EVER MADE" is no different from saying "This game will get boring in ten mintues", they're both ridiculous exaggerations, so why not get on the peoples backs who were spouting how it will be the best game ever made? I explained why I think this game will get boring and I supported my argument, what else do you want?
This is hilarious. It's possibly the first puzzle game ever where all of the negative comments are essentially "the combat is rubbish"
It's a puzzle game that has enough of a physics simulator to ad-lib combat (and apprently is using beta version controls) The puzzle bit of it is yet to be seen

Ok but (again) nobody is complaining about the actual puzzle part of the damn game.
Just an exemple with NMH fans: Somebody say the overworld part of that game is terrible and hella boring and they have to reply saying how "amazing" the boss fights are to counter attack.
Why do that when nobody is complaining about that aspect of the game?
Also,i'm not complaining about the combat but rather the use of the items, everytime something interrupt with the action (like everytime the T-Rex hit him for instance) you have to touch the target with the stylus and choose "Fire" again...everytime.
In the video the guy playing had to do it about 4-5 times which can become tedious in the long run especially when they could have replaced this with the press of a button.
@AE86
when did i say this is a game only for kids? i said it is a game geared twoards kids. perhaps i should not have assumed you would pick that up. its also funny how you sicredit everyones arguments as weak, while bringing up arguments that arte laughable at best.

@ The first - well yeah, people just seem to be missing that this is meant to be a puzzle game. COuld be because this movie had no puzzles in it
@ The second - according to one guy in this thread, the devs said they were going to do that before release

I'm a NMH fan and no... not only I don't say that, as I say the "overworld" wasn't "terrible"/boring, was amazing, and I'm sad is not mandatory in Desperate Struggle.
But... they went with the masses... what can I do?
This game seems awesome!!!! And I have no clue how can someone with just a litle bit of imagination not to see that. If the game will achieve where my imagination goes... don't know. We'll see...

Not mine, I just wonder how rewarding it will be to experiment with the items in the game. Granted, I never meant to come off as "negative", just cautious, but there you go. At any rate, I never mentioned combat, but I still wonder how different items will interact with each other. I remember one demo level where you had to defeat/avoid a shark. The guy playing the game blew it up. That's pretty cool, but can you freeze the water, pour acid on it, combat it with a harpoon/diving suit, call forth a tsunami to blow it away, appease it with food, capapult yourself over it, dry out the ocean, etc? Only with that kind of depth do you have a game that truly rewards creativity. Still, I suspect there will be a lot of items that are practically useless (why summon a ladder when you have a helicopter?) and that might well be the game's biggest flaw, in my opinion.
