Wonder if they were disapointed with PS3 sales.  Seems dumb to waste the engine like that otherwise.

Either way... good thing i got myself a PSP.

I actually like it better then my PS3... with VC2 on it that distance is going to go even farther.

New IP, SRPG, PS3 Exclusive... those sales are awesome.

I just think its a way for them to try make the franchise even more well known. Then if it goes well on PSP, VC 3 will probably be a multiplat on PSP/PS3... maybe even a release title for PSP2.

Well, Dawn of the New World is a complete sequel to the first game, and that's a gaiden. Who knows.

Financially it's a better idea than putting it on PS3 (in Japan at least, it'll probably sell even worse everywhere else).

Potentially it could be a disaster with the flood of PSP games and ports all announced for this year. Everyone jumping on the bandwagon hasn't struck gold and there is way more competition than what's on the PS3.

From the fan perspective...well...all I can say is that there are a few meltdowns on gaf.

Gaiden means "Side Story or Unofficial Sequel"

Couldn't it be a full sequel to the first Valkyria Chronicles and a side story in the Valkryia franchise.
