Forums - Gaming - Left 4 Dead is racist!

Zombies in Resident Evil 5 are black too... Guess that game is racist as well.

Personally, I don't care what colour the zombies are... I enjoy killing them all... And I really enjoy zombie games.

But there has to be black zombies haha. I mean it's New Orleans. Wouldn't be accurate if some weren't black considering the population has a lot of black people in it.

People are just looking for areas to throw the race card. It is pathetic and silly. You only drive racism further by continuously making it a big deal. And by finding it in places where it doesn't exist... well now you are just creating tensions for no reason.

Seriously, Louisiana is, I believe, one of the only states where there are more black people than white people.

This is technically true.  Though Whites and Blacks are both outnumbered by Creoles.

Which are basically White/Black and Native American mixed.

Creoles look different from white? My family is Creole (grandfather is fluent in Cajun french) and I certainly don't look any different.

@ theRepublic

The dominant part of the white LA population comes from West and North LA. Baton Rouge and New Orleans both have more black people than white people.

You said Louisiana the state, not New Orleans or Baton Rouge.  I thought that needed correcting.

New Orleans: 28.1% white, 67.3% black     http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/22/2255000.html

Baton Rouge: 45.7% white, 50.0% black     http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/22/2205000.html

I said that because I live in Baton Rouge, and I suppose when I saw the statistic I thought they were talking about the entire state. My mistake.

Game is set in NOLA though, so it'd be wrong to not have black zombies.

It's OK.  You were certainly right about those two cities.

If we're all supposed to be equal, why do we continue to notice different skin colors?

People don't watch equality, they want diversity. I struggle to believe the two items can ever co-exist.

It can.  It's just when people say equality they don't mean equality.

They mean they want people to not make ANY preconceived judgements.  Which is impossible based on how big the world is and how our brains work.

People are always going to go into a situation with somebody with preconceived notions... based on race, and dozens of other things... such as name.

I mean who would you rather hang out with Zack or Lester?

The trick is... how are you going to treat people after you've met them.

Of course the issue with diversity is different cultures make different people... which means largely people will be treated differently... but not based on race... but on culture. (Hopefully.)

RACISM!!!!

Since you can find it anywhere, it means your avatar is racist and you are a racist. Racist!

What!?  This does not compute....but...your logic.....it----I----- I must.......but I can't.....can I?

its racist to purposely not put in black people. everybody should have an equal shot at being a zombie.

Everyone knows that black people are immune to any zombie virus. Viruses are inherently racist and therefore must be stopped.
