Under 150k would mean trouble for them, though I expect sale to pick up soon to 250k-300k per week.

With the Sales of DS and Wii Nintendo will never be in trouble.

Wii itself is doing good, outselling the competition it did slow down a bit but thats what Iwata and his people will adress, they already introduced bundles in Japan , and there is some big software coming. But they wont be in trouble since they wont be outsold by any console this generation for a longer period.

When both ps3 and X360 sell more WW at least 5 weeks in a row. Until then... no problem

Right about now, actually.

Yeah, I mean it.

How low do weekly sales need to hit before you would consider Nintendo to be in trouble?

How long do you need to get that Nintendo last gen sold less than half of what they sold until now this gen and were never in trouble?

They won't get into trouble this gen but they will fall short of many people's expectations by far by the end of it. (People who think it'll sell 150-250 million or even more).

Nintendo won't be in trouble until Wii is outsold by the PS3 worldwide...

and even then, they will probably still make a profit.

In about 3 years.

Nintendo, in trouble? Imagine that starting today, both Nintendo's hardware and software sales completely dried up; they never sell another Wii, DS, or game again. If that happened, Nintendo would still be rolling around in mountains of cash for years to come. Nintendo has no risk of being "in trouble" for a long, long time.

As what will happen in the real world - instead of hypothetical what-ifs - Nintendo will have the best-selling console and handheld for the generation. Nintendo will also generate more profit this generation than any other gaming company. Declining hardware sales may cause Nintendo to "win" by a smaller margin, but the big picture won't change.
