How do y'all reckon? Because they use the same engine and animations? I can't say anything about RE5, since I haven't played it yet, but I really doubt it's the same as RE4. Mikami's games have always been different (read: better) than those directed by others, even if they're using many of the same assets.* So explain yourself, 'cause I'm really curious how you reached this conclusion.

*For the record, Mikami headed the original, RE2, REmake, and RE4.

I don't like Capcom's seeming indecision when it comes to making Wii games but i loved RE4 so if they make a decent game in that vein (either RE5 or a new game) i'll be buying it.

You're right.  The inclusion of coop (while it was incredibly fun) completely ruined any semblance of horror or tension that RE4 somewhat retained.  The only time it re-emerges is when you or your partner is in Dying mode and you're halfway across the level from them and you have to run like  a madman to revive them.

OT: I already played and thoroughly enjoyed RE5 on the 360 (I own it and it's one of my favourite games of the generation), but I would quite happily fork out another $50 to play it on Wii with somewhat-downgraded graphics. 

What I meant was it's just silly to want RE5 for Wii and keep begging for something will never happen.

If you really want this game then go buy the console for what it is on.

If you want a game really bad,then don't wish for it to come to some other system it practically has no shot of happening just go play the desired game on the system(s) it was released for.

I am by no means a person made of money either but last gen I saved up to buy an Xbox even though I didn't want one at the time to play Shenmue II and it was worth it for me.(had no way of importing the DC version then)

Wii next to DS is my fave system this gen thus far and own one.

You just took something out of context and assumed it was meant as graphics over new control style when I said nothing about either.

Guy's we've seen monster hunter 3 which has good looking visuals, why can't they do the same to RE5 according to you guys?

You know, adamantly I would have said yes to RE5 Wii Edition until after I played it. I would probably still buy it just because I'm a huge RE fan but I really do not want to pay another time to play that awful storyline again. Seriously, if you want to give Wii gamers a "real" RE game, then make RE4-2 or something dealing with Leon.
