as i said before i brutely got interrupted will the wii with soem big hitters match the future pricecuts of the HD consoles and big flow of AAA titles?

or will we be doomed to waggle?

how many more consoles can nintendo sell to the casual market.
plus thrid party wii games sell a lot less compared to the 360 and PS3

OT: I think the Wii is fine for at least a couple more years... once both the main 360 and PS3 SKU's are at $199 or lower levels, then Nintendo will be forced to introduce a new Wii (possibly the rumored HD version) because the Wii will have lost most of its appeal as a mass-market console, i.e. being a good deal cheaper than the HD systems and being the only one with motion controls.

The wii has won this gen. I don't think thats disputable. The other consoles may gain some parity with it later but I doubt it, the 360 and ps3 are more likely to fade before the wii does.

The wii has won this gen. I don't think thats disputable.

I dispute it, in fact its looking increasingly like the wii will end in 3rd place
The chief reason are twofold
1. wii's sales have decreased the worst of all 3 consoles this year, expect the trend to continue
2. And most importantly the wii's successor will most likely ship far earlier than the xbox3,ps4. Once that happens the wii will be discontinued.
How many millions has the ps2 sold since the halting of production of the xbox+gamecube?

Its not a sprint but a marathon :)

Nintendo won't discontinue the Wii immediately when they introduce their new console. The path they follow will most likely be similar to what Sony has done with the PS1, and PS2. Also, Nintendo would have to take the Wii completely off the market, and it would still take years for both the PS3 and the Xbox360 to catch up respectively.
