Nintendo won't discontinue the Wii immediately when they introduce their new console. The path they follow will most likely be similar to what Sony has done with the PS1, and PS2. Also, Nintendo would have to take the Wii completely off the market, and it would still take years for both the PS3 and the Xbox360 to catch up respectively.
