Firstly; there really aren't that many truly angry or upset posts in here and secondly; its gebx, is it really strange that most people take it seriously if its news that sounds like it could be bad news for Sony?

If Kramer had a show, the ratings would be much higher than your's.  I can see it now...  If The Kramer Show didn't have better rating's than Real Talk and UnReal Talk combined there would be all kinds of threads popping up about The Kramer Show being doomed.

As opposed to COOKED UNITS? 

Anyhow, I have seen silliness discussed before, and might as well chime in here, as if my thoughts matter:

1. WTF is this "aligned sales"?  The PS3 is off sales last year, while the 360 is ahead of where it was last year.  Normally it is how you finish that matters.  You can make an argument about theoretical "aligned sales" if you can show they actually map to future trends.  So far, the "aligned sales" have resulted in a gap between the PS3 and 360 growing, even while the PS3 is said to be doing better in "aligned sales".

2. I will say now what I said about Pachter.  These analysts have to be pulling numbers that feel good out of their gut.  They don't seem based on anything.  Well, at least this analyst is basing things ono how they are now.  But still, it is just speculation. And yes, it is admitted to be such, but does match Pachter post for post.  Kudos.
