hey, i personally go by ign and gamespot awards, but to be honest, the spike vga's is the biggest video game award show and thus people think highly of them

It was not a bad game. It deserved it score, a tad overrated, but didn't deserve GOTY. Little Big Planet deserved it and won on many site including here.

Galaxy won 2007 hands down but COD4 gave it the toughest run for the money I have ever seen. Both games are fantastic.

Fuck all of that; I'd take LittleBigPlanet.

Over most games yes, but MGS4 was a much better game, and definately deserved GOTY same with Fallout 3

Ya MGS4 was the best game. I didn't have a PS3, but my neighbor does, and i saw enough of it to to realize it's genius.

GTA IV was/is great. I feel that MGS4 deserved the 2008 GOTY award.

Read a few of the first set of posts and wow... feels like Wii fans always see themselves as the victim.... which is pure BS.

I didn't like GTA4, was a good game, but it didn't deserved those 10 or being GotY. I think if GotY is about quality games, then MGS4, LBP and Super Smash Bros Brawl deserved it a lot more, but i would choose Smash. If GotY is about buzz, then Wii Fit is the one i think should have won.
