NP: And, of course, I have to ask: have you given any thought to putting a new Kid Icarus game on Wii or DS?

Do you think that the translation is wrong, Mr. Miyamoto knows about something or it's just a confusing sentence? I don't know about you guys, but I can see Mr. Miyamoto involved in a Kid Icarus project, so we can have another hero for our Nintendo plataform.

At this point I wonder if a Kid Icarus game could succeed any better than Punch Out or Bionic Commando. We've seen time and again how internet enthusiasm doesn't translate into sales for these types of games.

Better to release a retro Kid Icarus on WiiWare like MegaMan 9 than a modern revision.

would be cool if it ever happens. but nintendo is lazy in bringing the games the fans want from their awesome past and release a new one so we can enjoy it. like i have been wanting a new donkey kong game , and i have been wanting since donkey kong 64 for a new one.

Sounds like he said "wait" in terms of the question, not the content of the question. He was slightly flustered by the change in subject.

Kid Icarus does not exist. Read that 1000 times and get it into your memory.

I can't really say I'd be excited for a Kid Icarus game... I mean there comes a time when Nintendo has to come up with original ideas and stop rehashing IPs from over 2 decades ago simply because a tiny fraction of their audience has a bad case of nostalgia.

No one but the hardest of the hardcore Ninty fanboys would be interested in a game with "Kid Icarus" in the title... personally I'd be much more interested in a new Pikmin, because that is a much more well known franchise today, and there's tons of potential for it on the Wii with the motion controls and pointer interface.
