Ever since Gears of War came out on the 360, PS3 owners wanted a good 3rd person shooter and we got that in Uncharted, which is a great game (better than Gears imo) but it is not really a shooter...it's more of an adventure game. According to me Quantum looks like the shooter that could rival Gears of War (I personally think that Uncharted 2 will be better than both Gears and Quantum). What do you guys think of whatever screens and videos we have seen of the game...does it look promising? What kind of ratings will it get? Do you think this game will get crushed by the fact that it's trying to ape gears in almost every single way, or do you think that it will end up taking over the TPS genre? DISCUSS!

Im not sure. Ive said it before and ill say it again, i hope its nothing like gears. Otherwise it will just be a bland shooter.

Well the trailers looked cool...and then they came up with a gameplay video at E3...just boring.

I didn't expect a lot in the beginning, but at least to be decent. Now I even have doubts for it to reach a score past 70 on metacritic.

The graphics remind me of the early 360 games. Seriously Lost Planet and Prey looks better than this IMO. Gameplay seems to be very mindless, not to mention that I can't even remember the last time I've seen such a cheap rip-off.

To be honest I'm a bit skeptical. Ill buy it after I read a few reviews

i agree with Xoj...i feel a lot of games are shying away from using colour and this game just goes overboard with it...i really don't like the dark objects much, there is just too much of a heavy dose of them...i hope the whole game isnt like this else it will be boring as hell...there were a lot of graphical issues and the gameplay looks very stale...it reminds me a lot of syphon filter's gameplay where u wud be running and leaning and shooting and the game is looking very clunky to me...i hope they do some major polishing to it...oh and i hate the main gun he uses, its just way too slow, i wud prefer a machine gun

Tecmo/Koei dissapointed me both with this and Undead Knights...

This on the other hand has a higher budget it would seem, and a better chance of beeing good. But seeing that its a new IP, the dev barely known outside of Japan, and shooters not beeing popular in Japan + the small installbase of the PS3 + the setting already makes it a bit niche in its own genre = sales failure...

It might be decent or even good, but it will dissapoint saleswise...
