Which RPGs story is the worst you've ever experienced?

Star Ocean: The Last Hope is the game that inspired me to ask this.

Here are three from the top of my head.

Advance Wars: Days of Ruin (TBS not RPG, but the story is so bad that I had to add it here)

Pokemon

Star Ocean 4 all the way. Terrible storyline.

@pastro243, How is pokemon even REMOTELY close to the worst storyline ever? A bunch of 10 year olds go out to enslave critters that eventually build up to them saving the world with said slaves. It's a genius formula that's worked for decades.

.hack (I liked it, but they dragged it out too much trying to get 6 games out of it)

apparently its Blue Dragon, but im gonna say Grandia 3

Those first two plus Cross Edge came immediately to my mind.

How can a story that includes aliens, robots, moving wall murals and mechanical landsharks be bad?? Sure it was presented in an arguably generic manner, but it had loads of originality in its setting and events.

Im gonna take that as humor.
