Forums - Nintendo Discussion - The Conduit gets 6.5'd on Gamespot

@Lord.
No... its getting pathetic and its sounding emo, when in this case the "Wii hate" crap... isnt true at all.

Hes stating that the score isnt surprising... then he brings in the hate rubbish.
If he actually read the review he would know its a fair review.
But no, straight away see the score... and jumps to conclusions about how its being compared to PS360 shooters... and the guy is ultimately... a "Wii hater".

In this case, there is no basis for him to bring up "Wii haters" at all.

Yeah, okay, yeah, sure.
Which game is 'generic'?
Which game is more 'linear'?

They bash The Conduit for;

* Monotonous levels
* Respawning enemies and invisible bombs are frustrating and cheap
* Generic art design and story
* Uneven difficulty.

With the exception of the spawning enemies and bombs, its the same problems that are with MoH:H2.

I'm not offended or anything, I find it sad, and pretty freakin' funny.

EDIT: Oh mean, it keeps getting funnier.

"...the multiplayer is too unremarkable to entertain for long..."

Oh wow, XD

I own all of lastgen systems as of October 2008. (Finally got a Dreamcast)

I own every currentgen system except PS3.

But you would agree that the "Wii haters" statement, in general, may have some merit?

Okami

To lavish praise upon this title, the assumption of a common plateau between player and game must be made.  I won't open my unworthy mouth.

If you read the whole comment, he wasn't actually stating that. He just brought that up at the end as an aside, without accusing the review of being that.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

It's a different reviewer, over a year later.

While I doubt The Conduit is worse than that festering turd, you have to consider these things.

By a different guy, though.

At the end of the video review, he states "The Conduits is simply not worth playing"
That's a strong statement.

@Mint: Gaming websites aren't homogenous entities. Different reviewers are allowed differing positions if they are well justified and are not forced to conform to the standards of their fellow reviewers, either in house or elsewhere.

The guy didn't like it. He explained the score. Just let it go, people.

I don't wanna see the Edge review!
