Forums - Microsoft - What will Project Natal do for Xbox 360 in Japan?

I don't think anyone have mentioned this, the Nintendo Wii currently has 8 million consoles sold in Japan, while the 360 has 1 million, I think the Japanese will love Project Natal and xbox 360 sales will grow tremendously, what do you guys think?

If Eyetoy is any example I don't think it will do well because of space requirements in a place where such is a valuable commodity.

Under Section 4, Subsection 4.11.c, the answer is no, as declared by the Japanese Gamers' Official Hand Book of Gaming Laws and Rules, as per adhered by Japanese Gamers. But seriously...probably not.

The nintendo wii also requires space, not as much as Natal but still, Wii fit anyone?

But Natal camera requires to see your whole body.  How far away of a space is that?  Wii fit only requires the space the board takes up.

a big reason japan buys the wii is Monster Hunter and Dragon Quest.
not alot of people like motion controllers (or Eyetoy / Natal) outside of US btw, infact alot of people see it as a gimmick.

Only if they can get the Natal to work in Japaneese will it have a slim (very slim chance IMO) to do anything. If it hasnt any Japanese language support you can forget it.
