I can't believe WoW and Khuutra have gone on so long here. There may have been a time when these games were different, but I've played a game that is clearly a hybrid basically a decade ago.

Heroes of Might and Magic is a fantastic game that is a combination of the SRPG and TBS genres, and realistically I can see no real genre defining differences between them.
You can even consider the Civilization games SRPG because you do specifically play a role (although loosely based). I know this disagrees with Khuutra, but if you consider say the FfH mod for Civ 4, there are clearly character based levels, hence turning the game into an SRPG?

Really there is no real difference between these 2 genre definitions.

X-Com, Ogre Battle, and Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance

Tactics mainly because of the Job system.

The Disgaea series would probably be next.

Then Pokemon Monopoly.

I'm the one who said all SRPGs are TBS games.

Disgaea and Fire Emblem

Edit: I would put FF Tactics & maybe Advance but I have one big problem with the games: The GOD DAMNED LAWS

I Heroes of Might and Magic Series Counts as a SRPG then Heroes 3 kills the competition, it is a perfect, flawless game

I'm the one who says that being similar doesn't make them the same.

I'm also the one who's using arguing with Khuutra as opportunities to post more SRW videos.
