JRPGs' are really deep in story and can get to me sometimes. Like Final Fantasy VII (........Aeries)

Has any WRPG ever done that to you?

"AH DAMNIT ! i have to walk aaaaaaaaaaaaaallll the way back there..... -sigh-"

"Damnit damnit! wait wait! i accidently ended my turn! noooooooooo! "

OT: JRPG's for me

So true. This just happened to me twice in a row on Fire Emblem few days ago. Well, not completely since I moved like 2-3 characters than accidently ended.

Well of course JRPG's mostly have better stories, because that essentially the major part of what JRPG's are. They are stories.

RPG's are experiences in the first person. If it has a great story that is always a plus. Mass Effect was my favorite WRPG story.

it happened to me on Disgaea =/ i moved characters and ready to attack instead of clicking "Execute " i chose "End Turn" then half of my characters died and i was deep in the "Item World"

Hate when that happens!!

I bawled like a baby when Celes threw herself off that Cliff in FF6 because of her despair. Only to find new hope.

I was shocked when I had to choose between Ashley and Kaiden (I'm one of the few who actually LIKES Kaiden. Dang ungrateful hype train and their wrex love.)

Both situations made me sad, but for different reasons.

I think WRPG's are more on the light side of things for story-telling, they can go deep (mass effect) but i've never seen a sad WRPG.  

JRPG's are almost always deep and alot of the time have sad parts in their story's.

And what the hell is a SRPG??

Exactly! WRPG's, like RPG focus on generated worlds that are filled with battles and your effect on the world and the outcome of that battle. Mass Effect is the first for me having a true RPG with a great story. If WRPG's follow Mass Effect, people will get their storyline fix while enjoying playing an actual RPG for once.
