Seriously, that's because this site has games and facts a la the chartz. Facts attract smart people.

VGChartz has a great community, no question. In fairness to IGN and Gamespot, those are commercial services run by large-scale companies - they'd have to pay vast amounts of money to hire moderators to keep discussions focused. Youtube is another beast altogether - there's so much media out there, it's hard to see how anyone could keep up.

What I especially appreciate about VGChartz is how it keeps improving and growing, just like any functional community should.

that's why i don't read coments under youtube videogames oriented videos except for Inside Sim Racing episodes and Classic Game Room reviews.

The site is definitely better then most games sites in regards to the level of intelligence in its community. Not the best site I've been too but pretty close.

I agree whole heartedly. The VGChartz community on a whole is much more intelligent and well behaved than the other sites and we all know that I'm always well behaved.

Well, VGC has rather active mods and quite a few mature members that mostly stay away from trolling and flaming. Those two things i see being the main reasons.

IGN seriously needs people to report those reviews. And when I report a review like Wiisuckslol's many shitty ones, I expect it to be deleted.

In a way, the small size of VGC is a good thing- no game has more than, say, 10 reviews, and if it's a popular game, the review will be deleted and the author banned. If not, either nobody will notice, or the same thing will happen when somebody stumbles across it.

It is one of the very reasons, why I signed up here. It seems a tad bit more civilized here. Although one has to take into account that the population here seems smaller, as well as there are not as many active moderators in those other sites. It will of course allow a lot more abuse when not policed correctly. Either way, the atmosphere here seems to breed character, rather than the internet notion of individual ambiguity. So my kind of place. *****Sorry a little off topic here, as I'm new here, but how do I space my paragraphs when I post. When I type my sentences even with spaces in the post area, it lumps everything into 1 paragraph. Thanks.*****
