Most FPS's are usaully killing other people, which I think is bad. WW2 games are espacailly bad: it commerializes a real war, glorifies war, and glorifies the killing of others. Resistance and Halo are about brave human soldiers working toghether to deafeat and Alien threat. I think these games arn't nearly as bad, if bad at all. Though in Halo you can choose to be evil and kill your men.

Then Leo wanted to be cool and play the games big boys play.

Anyway, if it helps ease your conscious, puritans were completely insane. Though when it comes to religion, you'll find there is disagreement between every denomination etc. No matter what you do, some will find it sinful or disgraceful. Live by your own best understanding, talk with God, and don't worry about the community. Your relationship with God, not what your parents, priest and that nice old couple think you should do.

@andrewpeirce relax dude, your talking about videogames. And i'm pretty sure that a normal person won't have evil thoughts because of violent games.

Only joking. Anway noraml little kids can have evil thought from video games. I got real violent from palying battle tanks: global assault as a kid, and little kids get messed up if they play M games. Thats what we have rating systems for. It should be fine for 17 year olds to play, which I am. However, buying M games would be "seeking out evil" which the bible says is bad... but at the same time I am not sure if 5% of the games are M that I will become more evil or anything... I don't know :(

Naw you wont say it sucks, I played fps on the GC now those were terrible, resident evil 4 was $hit on ps2 and GC in my opinion. FPS need to have good graphcis and good controls. Jherico demo was awsome, the problem was it had wierd controls. Resistance is a great example of a very good nex gen shooter.

Resistance is awsome, the campaign is as good as halo's, and its one of the best online games on the ps3. When you play it in the future you will like it. I have a feeling your going to buy a ps3 around 09 or 08.

Actually, I figure I worded that poorly. Not ignore your parents, discuss with them. Either way. Also, enjoy life. Pretty key.

soriku and leo, u guys must be Physic. I just wathce some Re4 movies, and I thought it lookedreal dull... even more so than gears. Thats prolly why I like Halo, its colorful (and the Halo ring backgrounds in Halo 1 remind me of the hyrule fields in TP)

anyway my catholic freind was hyping up the game, but it looks bad.

Still not sure if I should get grand theft atuo though. I have played that and I like the game, but I always feel kinda bad when I play it :(
