| Recon1O1 said: Like in "A day late and a pound short" right? Yeah, that's relatively funny. Ahemm... What's this topic again:? ME2 seems a bit lacking in joy to me. Anyone else finding it a bit too dark?. I mean Miranda looks great and all but I'd rather dive into a vat of Wilkinson Swords! Now see that was not funny. They were a popular razor back... never mind. Don't want to SPOIL anyone's fun but some of the characters seem a little depressed themselves. Sorry I left but in my defense I was, you know, killed. Anyone who has amassed 100,000 iridium has my respect as that particular mini-game is a bit of a grind. Think I've got 45 though so thanks for the heads-up. I should have started on 'Normal' as I'm feeling a bit underpowered. Lvl 9 Infiltrator. Found Archangel, Eng. and have Grunt on ice. Still disc 1. V-good arpg so far. I had no trouble with the char., importer but the mythical Cerberus Network has yet to appear. Thought I had problems with EA/BW linking to my GT ironed out on DA:O. Apparently not. Just cranky about not getting my bonus crap I guess. Time for my nap. |
I dont think its too bad of a grind. Its just a matter of focusing on rich planets, and having the scanner upgrade. I have around 150k Iridium now, and roughly 300k between all types, with Platinum being woefully needed (probably spent 100k of the stuff so far).
Also, doing methodical sweep-scans of planets is the best way of gathering high amounts of minerals. Pick a side of the planet, and scan every inch, scanning every 2 grids. You will obtain 90% of the planets resources that way. In about 7 minutes, you can gather from a typical rich planet, and net about 50-75k in various minerals, with Eezo being the one in shortest supply.
Oh also, I must say the 'find the data recorder on the wrecked crusier' is the scariest RPG mission ever. I jumped every time something crazy happened. Anyone that plays this game must play this mission. I won't spoil why its scary, but I was so glad it was over when I finally got off the ship. The side quests on ME2 are 10 times better than ME1. Each side quest mission has good depth & quality, and usually have a pretty good arc. MSV Corsica was a very neat mission arc that nets quite a bit of XP once its done, and has some great puzzles.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
