Forums - Gaming - Ghostbusters LEADs on PS3 - But graphically superior on 360.

stick figures vs HD ladies and gents.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

In general PS3 is the lead dev platform nowadays, and in general multiplatform graphics on the two consoles are equivalent; either system may have an edge for a given game, but it's small.  The 360 advantage seen when 360 was lead platform is pretty much nonexistent.

Now, for exclusive titles, PS3 games do seem to have the edge and seem also to be improving at a greater rate than 360 games.

This here thread is alt-account fanboyism.

And the proof that the PS3 is the lead platform for the game is... where?

The engine they used for ghostbusters was built from the ground up to exploit the ps3.
It's in the link I provided and just a quick google search away.
here it is.

Thanks. Quite a paradox then.. a real one.

It doesn't make sense.
the way they was boasting for them to end up with this makes them look really bad.

They must have been overconfident in their abilities but they have to be embarrassed with the PS3 version.

They should have stuck to hyping both games instead of complaining the one which turned out better was holding them back.

I was worried the 360 version would be poor and missing graphical effects and features the PS3 had but now I'm thinking the 360 version is also poor compared to what it could be because their abilities aren't as good as they want us to think.

In fact i'm surprised the game will make it out with everything it's been through.
roll on the 19th I'm ordering a US copy through ebay.

The solution lies in the difference between things moving on the screen at once (multiple devs have recognized that PS3 has the advantage here) and textures (360 tends to have an easier time).

edit: Though it's weird: all IGN mentions for differences is some environmental damage that occurs in the 360 version but not the PS3.  So on that front, I don't know what gives.  Easier to do on 360, or?

Theres one big missing component in this analysis. We don't as of yet know the rendering resolution, frame rate and if there is screen tear. Without knowing these things you cannot say Xbox 360 > PS3 Ghostbusters.

Tease.

There's so much wrong with this post I don't know where to begin but I'll give it my best shot.

- PS3 is not the lead dev platform nowadays, source?

- Generally the 360 has the edge in a given game. I'm just being honest, we're talking minimal here.

- I disagree on the exclusive titles debate. You will generally find that it is just PS3 fanboys idolising their exclusives giving the impression that they are superior to a given 360 exclusive. Fanboy fanfar does not = fact. Most fanboys haven't even properly experienced exclusives on the other platform. This is why I disagree and can't take that seriously.

(Patiently awaits eurogamer's in depth analysis followed by numerous fanboys calling them biased liars)

Don't get me wrong here, I mean this was the 1st title to my knowledge apart from Burnout Paradise where such a big deal was made about the PS3 being the lead platform. Sony even signed a timed exclusive deal in the EU for the game. Is there really anything wrong with this thread?
