Because Forza is not a big franchise and Splinter Cell's popularity has waned.

That said, I suppose Splinter Cell does have a reasonable shot at it, fair enough.

How much do you expect Forza 3 to do week 1?

Given that it'll have 1 week of sales in October, and considering that Forza 2 opened to 210k in the Americas, I'd say maybe 350k week 1 USA.

I guess Wii Fit will do 400k+ that month, so that's my reasoning for Forza 3 not being able to top NPD.

I really don't know and to some extent I'm just taking a stab in the dark here, but hey.

Fair enough, was just curious as to what your numbers were.

EDIT > one thing to note, when Forza releases it will have 2 days worth of sales for the week ending 25th, then an entire week ending 31st

Sure maybe for each single months but no way in hell if you combine the sales for all those month together.

Uncharted 2 could double the sales of the original, but that is including world wide sales where it almost hit 2.5m

IMO it doesn't stand a chance at breaking 5 mill, GTAIV has only just made it there itself.
