Congratulations on owning one of the best consoles of all-time. Here's a list of games that I own and would consider the best on the console:

Super Mario All-Stars
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Super Mario World (which you already have)
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
Super Metroid
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time

There are other great games that I don't own though. This next list are games that I have little to no first hand experience with, but I know they are great games. Since I don't own these, I would recommend looking into them more before buying them.

Final Fantasy II
Final Fantasy III
Mega Man X (there are also two sequels and Mega Man 7)

Super Castlevania IV

Someone mentioned this already, but it is probably cheaper and easier to get a lot of these games via the Virtual Console on the Wii. I don't think there are any glaring omissions on this list, so I think it is fairly complete. It is also so long it is probably a bit overwhelming too.

Super Mario World just turned off on me at random.

It really depends on how much money you want to spend.

First off, playing games on the original system fells *great* but if a game is on the VC, just get it for the VC. Unless you're a collector, save yourself the time in finding those games, and the money it will take to buy those games.
