yeah ok dude. :P
I know, just look at how great the PS3 is selling, youre so right
Last year Nintendo was accused of firing all their guns at the same time, and too early, by releasing the two biggest system sellers this generation at the same time. This summer they will release what is likely to be an equal system pusher to those two giants.
Before we know what Wii Sports Resort does to the Wii, whether or not 2009 will see stronger Wii sales than 2009 is shrouded in mystery. Likely this year will at least come very close to the already whopping 2008.
Then there is the Wii Vitality Sensor. An interesting experiment in trying to reach out to a new group of people that have no interest in gaming at all. If successful, though that feels unlikely, it could make for a great 2010 as well.
While it is possible that Wii has actually peaked the cards in Nintendo's hand are strong, and played right could make the future eclipse the already stellar year of 2008.

Obviously because of the price.
Last year the X360 was doing really bad, the PS3 outsold it most of 2008, then they got the big price cut in the Fall which brought the sales up and it's now selling more then it did last year at this time, because of the price cut.
But the PS3 hasn't had a price cut sinse the beginning of 2008 (I think) so obviously sales would be a little low. So when the PS3 gets a price cut it's going to sell like crazy.
People dont forget that Nintendo is only making $6 profits per Wii, dropping the price could harm Nintendo because of it.
Sony's exclusives honestly aren't all that impressive.
Their third party sway from the PS1/2 eras is all but gone.
FF13 is not exclusive I doubt Versus 13 will be either (if it even comes out before 2012 at this rate). FF14 is an online RPG that probably will end up on the 360.
Gran Turismo 5 is the only big exclusive they have left to play worldwide. The Last Guardian, Uncharted 2, etc. stuff is alright, but it's going to be the same deal as Killzone 2 ... lots of hype by Sony fanboys ... not a lot of systems sold in the end.
Face it -- the main reason Sony was able to dominate so strongly in the 1990s and early 2000s was because they had practically every big third party franchise exclusive (Final Fantasy, Devil May Cry, Grand Theft Auto, Metal Gear Solid, etc.) and Nintendo/Sega were way behind in marketing know how back then (not anymore for Nintendo). They were able to take advantage of Microsoft's rookie mistakes too. And they had a head start with the PSOne and PS2 ... none of this is the case any longer.

LOL if you actually believe that. The tech inside the Wii is ancient.

Nothing but truth in this post.
Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:
If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.
If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.
Very very unlikely.. new zelda, metroid and SMG coming our way.. along with mario and sonic:winter olympics, wii fit 2 and wii motion plus.. if anything nintendo will have a smashing late '09-10
as for 360.. natal looks more interesting than PS3 motion tech for now..
PS3 has FF13 in japan and GT5..
All in all.. solid sales coming out of all 3 biggies.. I wouldnt say the market is dry just yet.
Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.
