Punch-Out!! has done right about what I expected it to so far... it'll have decent legs through the summer (or at least until Wii Sports Resort comes out).

Now Excitebots and Madworld... those games bombed hard, especially Excitebots... it did like what 20k its first week? That's pathetic!

Edit:  I checked it out just for shits and giggles... and Excitebots did less than 15k its first week and just barely broke 22k in 2 weeks... now that's REALLY pathetic for such a high-quality racer WITH online multiplayer!

I don't know, the franchise has been off the radar for a LONG time. The game isdoing fine. Not incredible, but it's selling. It should hit a million by Christmas.

people's absurdly high expectations for Punch Out were based off other Sports titles, ignoring the different demographic.

I fully expect it to hit a million by Xmas as well.  Should get a nice holiday boost.

I agree. I bought this game purely for nostalgic reasons and for some reason I do not like it anywhere near as much as I do the original.

One of the main reasons is because Mario is not the ref. That really disappointed me.

OT: I expected around 200-250k but wanted 500k. So it did ok.

I seem to remember some people expecting it to sell several million, so for those people it has to have disappointed.  I think it'll have its work cut out for it to make it to even a million and it's going to be an extremely long crawl if it manages that feat.

Should make a million easily, very few quality first party titles dont.

I expected this level of sales. PO was appealing to core long time gamers of the franchise, and not necessarily the blue ocean.
