I like both and it all comes down to opinion. In my opinion pikmin is the best franchise of all time easy so it depends on what you like!

Marios been milked a bit too much and Zelda games have more of mysterious presence about them. When a new Mario game is announced people are like "ooooo i want that." When a Zelda games announced people are like ".... oh.. ah ma... gawd.."

zelda has a sincerity that hardly exists in video gaming today. it's rare. and rare is good. so zelda's superior. mario is presented with sincerity, but come on, the premise of mario is practically the world in a stoner's point of view.
