for me its zelda. zelda was the first game my mom played with me 3 of the games are in my personal top 10 and all of the zelda games are good except for the cdi ones

I agree Mario > Zelda.

Then again, Zelda is trumped, in my opinion by Metroid and several other Nintendo franchises as well.

Yea it's all down to opinions in the end like most people have already said. Me personally, i prefer Mario as it is my all time favorite franchise, but I'd still bend over backwards for a new Zelda.

Coincidentally, most of the people i've seen/met who for some reason believe Zelda is miles ahead of Mario are the closed minded RPG/anime style people who think Mario is babyish and old and milked and they're too mature to play Mario. Even though none of this lessens the quality of Mario's most popular titles.

I also think mario is better. Its the best nintendo franchise with pikmin close in 2nd.
Zelda is very overrated. My favorite was wind waker. But I never played twilight princess and link to the past. OoT is kinda fun. Msjora's mask got me bored on the 2nd dungen so I stoped playing.( Remember OPINON! flame shleid up)

OoT MM and WW are extremely good games, and so are mario 64 and Galaxy. i think its impossible to say whos best.

You should be warned/banned for these titles. They're misleading.
