i say port MGS Rising instead of Peace Walker,
Peace walker is designed for handhelds.
but the Wii seriously need to stop getting ports , its like " THE port gaming console "

See this is where I think people get it wrong.

Why the hell would I want to play a vastly downgraded version of MGS Rising on the Wii? Was Dead Rising Wii any good?

PSP ports are fine though as long as the game is good, because it can be enhanced on the Wii greatly.

Look at Silent Hill on Wii vs. PSP. Who would rather play the PSP version? No one. The PSP version might as well not exist, the Wii version is better in virtually every way.

To me it's no different from the PS3/360 getting ports of each other's games.

As long as they're NEW games ... that's my criteria. I don't want ports of games that are 1/2/3/4 year old PS2 or even 360 or PS3 games.

If they going to do something like MGS: Peace Walker day and date on Wii + PSP like Silent Hill ... what's wrong with that? It's not much different from devs releasing PS3/360 versions of new games on the same day, except in this case the Wii would get the better version.

It would be a brand new Metal Gear game for the Wii, who cares if a version with lesser graphics and worse control is on the PSP? I'll take it. Ditto for Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep, which Square-Enix is honestly stupid if they don't put that on Wii because it would sell more on the Wii than PSP.

Not if Square-Enix is thinking of Ad-Hoc Local player which is huge in Japan. Look at Monster Hunter on the PSP...

And that's fine. For Japan. In North America and Europe, KH on Wii would destroy KH on PSP. And it wouldn't do badly on the Wii in Japan either.

Better graphics, better control, ability to play on a much bigger screen, potential to add some Wiimote or WM+ stuff where its sensible, etc.

In either case, S-E would easily double the sales of the game if they were to do this (probably even more than that honestly).

Doesn't the PSP, even PSP Go, have a TV out for it? So, get yourself the PSP, with the video out, and hook the PSP up to the big screen. Problem is solved!

PSP doesn't even run at 640x480, it looks like crap on a regular TV. The system is designed to run games on a 4-inch screen, not a TV screen, the TV out doesn't change that.

Wii is a lot more powerful, look at Silent Hill on Wii vs. PSP, big difference. Monster Hunter 3 on Wii also is miles better looking than the PSP.

The PSP's analog nub also sucks, I'd rather play it on Wii. If they can do it with Silent Hill there's no reason they can't do the same with Metal Gear Solid.

If you're saying this because you think it'll look better why don't you go the full 9 and put it on PS360?

PSPGo has bluetooth to link up with PS3 controller if I am not wrong.

My Wii hooked even with Component to my 25'' Screen lookes like crap compare to my PS3... Unless you can make a PSP and PS3 difference, the Wii's graphic isn't anything to be proud about.

Any way you slice it Wii has far better graphics than the PSP.

It's easy to offer consumers the option, so why not do it? They are already doing it with Silent Hill.

I'm not paying $250 freaking dollars to be able to use a PS3 controller with a PSP either, no thanks.

Because it would take a big budget to do that.

To move a game from the PSP to Wii takes what? Maybe 10-12 artists and programmers max?

It's a minimal investment that gets you access to an additional 50 million+ and growing (much faster than the PSP) user base.

I would rather have this kind of a port, which is basically a brand new game where the Wii version is far and away the superior version than having PS3/360 downports or ports of games that everyone played 3-5 years ago from the PS2 or GameCube.

Does anyone look at Silent Hill: Shattered Memories and say "gee, looks good, but since it's also on the PSP I can't play it because some 12-year-old kid on a message board will laugh at me because its a PSP port". I mean c'mon, lets get real.

So you're keeping it to Wii because you think that's more reasonable? But if commercial considerations were the only thing to go into decisions it would probably be on the Wii in the first place. Developers take these things into consideration and make the game where they want it to be.

So I guess I'm saying, since this isn't going to happen anyway, why don't you shoot for the moon?

I wouldn't rule it out. If Monster Hunter 3 can show there's a market for core Japanese 3rd party titles on the Wii and/or Silent Hill on Wii does well, I think Konami's business suits will start to push for it.

Just like they pushed Kojima to put MGS on the 360 ... of course market considerations come into play.

If it's easy to do it, why wouldn't you do it?

Square-Enix in particular really ought to consider this with a lot of their PSP projects, if they were on Wii they would have at least doubled the sales of a lot of those IPs IMO with a minimal amount of effort (ie: Crisis Core: FF7, FF Dissidia both would've done well on Wii).

This is more like having a PS3 game and not porting it over to the 360 even though you could probably do it without too much fuss. Why ignore such a large chunk of the userbase.
