Vocal fans for a series demonstrate the "Ron Paul Effect". If you check the Internet, or most vocal fans, you swear that they are much larger in number then they are. Then, if you check the ballot box (the market), you find the results are disappointing.

Sorry if a port didn't sell 2m right out of the gate. They need to stop complaining and look at what they did wrong that caused it to "underperform" in their eyes.

Well, they should have given the game the FFIII treatment, then it could have sold more to that crowd.

Plus, it was released with a Final Fantasy on the PS1. That disc (even though it's said to be sluggish) isn't too hard to find. Anyone who wants the original Chrono Trigger can find it. I've even seen it downloaded for free on an emulator.

I think Chrono Trigger was a once in a lifetime deal, though. I just don't see creators and such coming together like that any time soon. The last Chrono game wasn't up to snuff, in my opinion. Maybe we should just let this one go.
