Forums - Nintendo - I really, really, really want Super Mario Galaxy 2. Like, now.

Yoshi was rideable in Sunshine but for some reason I only remember it in the Delfino Plaza area you used to access the levels. Don't think you could ride it/him/her in the actual levels and according to my poor memory I think you could ride for a limited length of time or something like that. How could Miyamoto go so wrong in that game? Was a great game but a terrible Mario game. Why would cleaning up walls be any fun?

You could use him in most, if not all, levels, and there was no time limit... Well, kind of. After a while, Yoshi would run out of juice if you didn't "restock" him by eating fruit. It took quite a long time for him to run out, though.

What? Yoshi was in every single level, and you could eat fruit (which was everywhere) to restore the Yoshi timer. It was fine.

@bobbo19

Luigi's Purple Coins is easy! I honestly have no idea as to why people are having trouble with this star. Dreadnought's is the hardest IMO. Dusty Dunes is harder than Toy Time's purple coins too. The rest are easy.

I want to ride Yoshi now!!

I think it is the scare factor really... particularly with me because Luigis coins was the first purple coin challenge I did that had more than 100 coins, so I thought at first I would have to collect 'em all.

Once you know what you are doing though LPC is quite simple.... dreadnought and battlerock are not as daunting at first, but they remain difficult. (I find battle rock tougher than dreadnought by the way)

Dusty Dunes is easy enough if you have patience.... although there are those tornadoes on one side that have rocks or something in them, and it seems to be a bit random as to whether they hit you while in the middle of the tornado.

i think mario galaxy had enough challenge in it. the last ten or so stars were really hard for me.

most of the purple coin challenges were hard, but a few were just annoying (the open world levels where they were scattered everywhere)

the daredevil runs (expecially the melty molten galaxy one) were difficult for me.

also one of those last single star levels (i think it was called matter splatter galaxy) was kinda hard, but very fun.

i think the next mario galaxy should have 60 stars that are easy to get (so a lot of people can "beat' the game) and then have lots more challenging stars for the compeationists.

Really?  I don't remember it like that at all.  Only seem to remember Yoshi in Delfino Plaza.  Old age seems to be catching up with me.

I remember Yoshi very well in Sunshine. It was my first GameCube game. Too bad my sister scratched the disc and I can't enter the cut-scene in the 1st shine sprite of the Park level.

It sucks that he's only available in certain level of the worlds. :-/ I hated the fact that he couldn't go in water. But whatever.

In my opinion, the first Galaxy already outdid 64. #2 will just be great--especially riding Yoshi in space!

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
