I thought the menus were easy to navigate and simple in Twilight Princess... why can't they keep that? Miyamoto said countless amounts of time that the menus were made not complicated in TP for the casual audience, so there's no need to change that.

Also, the gameplay would be too simple with automatic weapon changing. I don't know, I don't like it that much.

The menu was easy to navigate in TP but I always hit the start button in the GameCube version >.>

She probably isn't every single weapon. That kills the purpose of going to dungeons to get new items.

Well, she could magically "learn" to be a new weapon once you found a secret manuscript, mural, etc in each dungeon.

I however believe she is solely the Master Sword, or whichever special sword is used in this game.

Oh gosh I hope not.

i dont think she can turn into any weapon. betting link uses a regular sword and at the end the girl sacrifices herself to the sages and becomes the master swordin order to defeat evil

I agree, though I think she'll change based on gestures, not pointing. ie. make a swinging motion - change to sword, etc. A natural gesture can be thought of for most weapons, I presume.

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

might be..actually..though I'm not keen on auto switching to the right weapon...that would..kinda make the game less fun to me

Yeah. A lot of the fun is experimenting and playing around with the different weapons. And how would this work if there's a seret wall to  be bombed? You just happen to click on it and suddenly link holds a bomb?

I don't believe she'd be all the weapons, but it's likely she's the master sword.

Everyone seems to comment on the lack of sword but no one on the lack of fingers. Seriously, Link's fingers appear to be missing.

"Now, a fun game should always be easy to understand - you should be able to take one look at it and know what you have to do straight away. It should be so well constructed that you can tell at a glance what your goal is and, even if you don’t succeed, you’ll blame yourself rather than the game. Moreover, the people standing around watching the game have also got to be able to enjoy it." - Shiggy

That would be awesome if true.

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

She must be the Master Sword spirit. I posted this as a comment at the artwork thread and then noticed this posting. So I guess our Zelda-instinct must be right. I don't think she will transform herself into different weapons. Her cloths and shape represent the Master Sword design.

Master Mii Artisan

This is pretty much what i thought about when i saw that picture, especially how his hand is positioned in that sketch. like he is ready to have soemthing come into his hand from behind.

Good to see others have the same thoery.

Does the Master Sword mean Ganon is in the game?

I mean, Ganon was in LttP, OOT, TP... so was the Master Sword. (EDIT: WW too, of course)

Too soon to say, but I think it's more likely she's the Master Sword along with Link's Navi/Midna type character for the game, rather than her being every weapon.

Yeah could very well be. Then again, this is Nintendo we're talking about, so anything could happen. We'll have to wait and see. :)

I'm still hoping Midna'll make a return. She's definitely the coolest support character in the history of the universe. :p And besides, at the end of TP, she did say 'Link... I... see you later.'
