Square Enix must've felt really bad for FFXIII being multiplatform. I guess Sony demanded respect from them when they are only a third party.

Go to it's 360 page also. Not much better. Go to it's PC page. Again not much better. Now go to other FF games and look at the amount of comments and attention they have. Totally different animals. It's obvious that all Final Fantasy numbered titles are not treated equal. FF XI was basically discarded as non existant by a pretty significant portion of the FF fanbase. Or it just sucked. Take your pick. What's obvious and has been for a while is that FF XI was always ignored in Final Fantasy conversations and that stems for far longer than just the last few hours. PS3 hate this is not. This is legitimate hate towards making another numbered Final Fantasy an MMO and most of that hate would have remained even if this was named multiplatform. If we polled the site two days ago and asked them whether they wanted FF XIV to be an MMO, I'm sure the massive majority opinion would have been a "hell fuck no". |
I think the problem is that this isn't a PC site. This is why MMOs other than World of Warcrap aren't popular. Honestly how many people played Star Wars Galaxy when it had the original gameplay? how many people here actually played FFXI at its prime when there were easily over 400k users? I seriously doubt that there is more than a very few on this site. This is why it was not in the top 100 and why it isn't popular on this site.
FFXI is and will forever be a welcomed numbered Final Fantasy in my book and FFXIV will be too.
When launched I would not be shocked if the number of active WoW accounts drop.
With this game out of the bag, I wonder what Sqare-Enix has left for their conference later today (11AM LA time)?
If FFXIV is announced console multi-plat I wonder if opinions will change lol.

I;m not sure if Microsoft changed its policies on MMOs on their system. This might be why its console exclusive to the PS3.
They have a new trailer for FFvXIII probably.
Anyways I'm still excited about this game. I am so getting this on PC!!!!

why? are the 360/PC games like Alan Wake, Halo, Gears of War, and many others failures too because they are on PC?
There will be some people who won't be able to play this on their PCs. This is why the PS3 version will cover that issue. There are wireless keyboards and mice that support the PS3 so its all good for MMO gamers to play it on the PS3.

Do you consider games for both the PC and 360 not exclusive? If so, then Final Fantasy 14 isn't, because it is also coming to the PC.
I'm not really that amped for another Final Fantasy MMO to tell you the truth. If I wanted that I'll play WOW.

different types of exclusitivity. console exclusive and exclusive is two different things now a days. exclusive means 1 platform only. console exclusive means PC and a single console only.
