Forums - Nintendo - Question about Reggie reading the blogs

No, I know the difference between a life and a game over.

I never lost a single life.

Then I certainly don't believe you until you can prove it, but you can't so it's tough shit.

The most difficult parts of Mario Galaxy are not the hardest bits of games I have played, but they are near the top, more difficult than anything in SM64, Banjo Tooie, LoZ:OoT/WW/TP (not MM though as that was tough)

^^ Like what?

I am serious amazed people even question this? How the hell do you die? If you say from the enemies I am gonna laugh, and a vast majority of the game you cannot fall to death anymore.

So what? Or where those very very few areas you can can fall-die a massive obstacle for you? Cos they weren't for me...

I was cautiously optimistic before but now I do not believe you.  It seems like you watched some vids or played the first few levels and decided you didn't like it.  The daredevil and speed levels are almost impossible to do the first time, not to mention the challenge galaxies.

^notice the health gauge says "1"

If Rol didn't beat them in the first run through...

BTW, I know you are just going to say that I must suck but I wanted to bring up another point.

If the lack of a challenge is the main reason you didn't like the first one then the second one should be interesting to you.  You were obviously interested enough to get 121 stars.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

You are telling me you beat the Lava Spire Daredevil Run on the first try? I don't believe it.  One hit and you are dead.

You beat Star Bunnies in the Snow on the first try? I don't believe it.  Only 150 seconds to find the hidden bunnies and catch them.

You beat both Boo races on the first try?  I don't believe it.  One mistake and you probably lose.

You beat the Sling Pod Galaxy on the first try?  I don't believe it.  Very difficult to get the timing and aiming needed in one try.

You beat the Fate of the Universe on the first try?  I don't believe it.  Long level with many tough parts.

You beat Battlestation's Purple coins on the first try?  I don't believe it.  Only one chance to get every purple coin.  Miss one and you die at the end.

You beat Luigi's Purple Coins on the first try?  I don't believe it.  The route you take is very important since the platforms disappear and never come back.

You beat all the Cosmic Mario races on the first try?  I don't believe it.  I remember losing at least one of them because it wasn't clear where to go.

You beat Purple Coins in the Bone Pen on the first try?  I don't believe it.  Only a 1 minute time limit.

You beat Bouldergeist's Daredevil Run on the first try?  I don't believe it.  One hit and you are dead.

You beat Purple Coins on the Battlerock on the first try?  I don't believe it.  Only one chance to get every purple coin.  Miss one and you die at the end.

You beat all the Trial Galaxies on the first try?  I don't believe it.  Three tough levels.

You beat all of the Dust Dune Galaxy on the first try?  I don't believe it.  Very easy to die in this one.

You didn't make a single dumb mistake on any of the easier levels?  I don't believe it.

Doing any one of these things is not out of the question.  I managed to do a few of them on my first try.  But all of them?  I don't think so.  Since you didn't get 120 stars with Luigi, and then get the 121st that appears for both Mario and Luigi, you can't prove it.

First of all, the discussion on Kylie Dog's gaming skills are not germane.

What is more is appropriate is I am not sure what some people want in a game. There seem to be some people who are never satisfied no matter what they are given.

As for the Zelda Wii comments -- Nintendo will show it when it is ready. We know it is being worked on.

They did say they have more games on the way that they didn't have time to place at E3.

He did say that a better place would be the Nintendo event later this year.

Nintendo: Next Wii Zelda Will Use MotionPlus

LOS ANGELES — In keeping with what is fast becoming an E3 tradition, Nintendo had just one more piece of news for us after its press briefing.

In a Q&A session with a room full of journalists, Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto revealed — but did not let us photograph — the first piece of artwork from the next Legend of Zelda game for Wii. He said that the game will use the Wii MotionPlus controller, but said that it was not yet decided whether the game would be exclusive to Wii MotionPlus or not. He (half-)joked that it depends on sales of Wii Sports Resort.

The art pictured Link, as he appeared in 2006’s Twilight Princess, standing back-to-back with a mysterious young girl character shrouded in sky blue. Miyamoto said that major themes of the game were revealed in the piece of art. (Perhaps he’ll share it with the rest of the world in due time.)

Miyamoto said that they are aiming to release the game in 2010, but seemed hesitant to nail that release window down.

I read the SMG2 will be harder comments.

I am still not convinced it'll be worth my time, Nintendo will still keep the difficulty easy enough of children, which means it'll be too simple for me.

Still, even I die a few times on SMG2, that does really justify a real challenge? I would bet money there won't be a single part I get stuck on more than a few tries, if that.

I think I've just outgrown Mario, and I don't strictly mean age.   Nintendo need to start using difficulty selections in games that are lacking them.   I found Twilight Princess less fun for the same reasons SMG caused, but at least Zelda was more varied, had puzzles and had story.

I can accept you don't like SMG and have no interest in SMG 2. But bs about not dying once in SMG while collecting every stars is another story especially when there is no proof.

I never die once in any recent games I played (Ninja Gaiden, Contra 4 etc). However, I can't prove it to you guys cause I'm too dumb to transfer the save files and show it to you guys. You just have to take my words for it.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

This pissing contest reminds me of when one of the editors over at Kombo said that they completely cleared F-Zero GX. Except, he immediately provided proof to back up his claim. Lucas-AMN was the editor and the guy is the man when it comes to F-Zero GX.
