Forums - Gaming - What would it take for you die hard Sony fans to switch over to Microsoft?

Ive already gone through the hassle of multiple problems with 360.

I have lost faith in their hardware creation. Also the FACT that MS KNEW THE SYSTEM HAD PROBLEMS BEFORE IT WAS RELEASED, and STILL released it... I do not like that at all. So now they fixed it... 3-4 years later.

I have a 360 but I'm not buying another MS console well until after 2 years of its release and only if it is "safe" to buy and not plagued by hardware problems.

So my statement stands. I will switch over when they make a console that doesnt get the RROD so often.

Sorry megaman.....he's got you here

lol...he was banned.

Not a 360 fanboy, just a PS3 fanboy hater that likes putting them in their place ^.^

This is one of the most saddest excuse of a post the J man has ever seen.

@op

The J man owns everything this gen except a wii.

N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!

Square-Enix and all of Sonys first party games cross to microsoft for exclusiveness.

I do have an Xbox, but I much prefer my PS3 for many many reasons.

The big one is the quality of Sony first party games. I have very little interest in Halo FPSs, though I did enjoy Halo Wars, Gears is decent, Fable is decent, but Naughty Dog are just so much better. Seriously, that is key. Without games like Uncharted, Killzone, inFamous, Ratchet and Motorstorm, my PS3 collection would look pretty empty, and there are so many more coming that I am really looking forward to. I just think the PS3 has a far superior line-up of games, and that will continue because Sony have such good first party studios, and support from second party studios.

Also, given that PS1 was my first console, PS2 my second, I much prefer the PlayStation controller. Also, the XMB is better, the build quality is better, free online and a very tiny point, but the boxes that games come in are far better with PS3

The only real reason that I bought my Xbox was AC 6, Mass Effect and Lost Odyssey, but there are far more things drawing me to the PS3

I have all 3 and prefer the PS3 for pretty obvious reasons. Rechargeable controllers, bluray, quiet, free PSN etc.

I'm glad I have a 360 for some Fable 2 and Mass Effect. I'm also loving EA Active on the Wii.

A lower failure rate, quieter running, built in WLAN, God of War, Team ICO, Ratchet and Clank, and free online. Maybe.

(Former) Lead Moderator and (Eternal) VGC Detective

PS3 = Blu-Ray, best exclusive games, free online, HDD included, most reliable system and built in Wifi.
360 = No Blu-Ray, good exclusives but not as great as PS3 exclusives, expensive annual fees to pay online ($50 or $60 per year?), pay extra for a HDD, unreliable system and you have to pay $100 for WiFi adaptor.

what will take me to switch??

-Sucker Punch and all the other exclusive developers
- Blu-Ray drive
-Free (and capable) online service

I don't understand this mentality.  I was a die hard Nintendo fan, but when I saw the Dreamcast, I bought a Sega console.  It was awesome.  I've owned every Sony console since the PS1 and the 360 is my first foray into Microsoft territory.  It's an amazing piece of machinery, too.  Why would you want to short change yourself, or like you said "Quit gaming"?  Is playing Metal Gear with a 360 controller that much worse than playing it with a DS3?  In the end, they're all just plastic and silicon.
