Given that nothing in Japan is really known for Wii in the fall, I would expect the Japan show to focus on the fall for retailers. Its probably release dates for Wii Sports Resort, Pikmin 3, Samuari Warriors 3, alot of hype for the Pokemon remakes, Dragon Quest IX, and then more information on those infamous 'supplementary earnings games' Kirby. Line Attack Heroes. Cosmic Walker. Takt of Magic bombed, but I still don't think all of those games will only do 4k openings.
They anticipated software shipments of 400m units in the year ending March 2010 for Wii & DS, 26m Wii, and 30m DS. To reach that, so far we have only the following known (100% confirmed) million sellers for the year off the top of my head (read: estimated):
Wii:
Cooking Mama 3 1m
EA Active 3m?
Beatles Rockband 1.5m
Guitar Hero 5 2m
DJ Hero 1.5m
Tiger Woods 2010 1.5m
Punch Out 1.25m
Wii Sports Resort 15m
Monster Hunter 3 2m
Red Steel 2 2m
Rabbits Go Home 1.5m
Sonic Racing 1m
Wii Fit 7m
Wii Play 5m
Mario Kart Wii 2.5m
Animal Crossing 1.5m
Shaun White 2 1.5m
Tony Hawk Revamp 1.75m
Resident Evil : DC 1.5m
Wii Fit Plus 10m
Mario & Sonic at the Winter Games 4m
Conduit 1m?
Grand Slam Tennis 1m?
Dead Space Wii 1m?
DS:
Zelda: Spirt Tracks 4m
Dragon Quest IX 4m
Kingdom Hearts DS 1.5m
Pokemon remakes 5m
Guitar Hero 1.5m
GTA DS: 1.5m
Mario & Sonic Winter Games 2m
NSMB - 2m
MKDS - 2.5m
Animal Crossing DS - 1.5m
Nintendogs - 2m
Drawn to Life 2 - 1m
I would think 5-10 DS projects will be announced that could do 1m units in the year, and another 5-10 Wii projects as well given the projections Nintendo made for software and hardware.
