I would be pissed and cry because Square was sinking so low as to include him in yet another game. Cloud is not even a character anymore, he's an amorphous marketing entity. Look at his character in any of his numerous cameos or canon post-FF7 appearances: nothing like the original unstable, delusional character from the game. He's just a recognizable face with iconic hair and a "bad ass" sword that Square craftily employs whenever they want to tap into the teenaged socially-ostracized male market that needs "bad ass" main characters so that they can have vicarious fantasies.

Yeah, I hate Cloud, or at least what he's become. FF 7 was actually an enjoyable game until it got so grossly overrated and marketed and essentially destroyed any of the magic in its legacy.
