I never had a problem with combat in the game. But the bland planets were lame. Overall I though the game kicked ass. Did you like KotOR?

Well. i hate to say it. but what did you expect from EA?

Are you sure you played mass effect? I experience quite the opposite of what you did. Only thing that was bad imo was the repetative side quests and IDENTICAL planets/bases.

The side quests (specifically the uncharted planets) are the worst in any RPG I've played.

Go to yellow planet, find bunker, kill everything inside. Go to red planet, find bunker, kill everything inside. They're all EXACTLY the same apart from the color of the planet and the location of the bunker.

Combat is fun. Story is really good. Game is kinda meh, overall.

i agree with most of your points. story is good but mechanics just didnt do it for me.

i had played up untill you rescue the queen just after boss fight, and got bored with it.

i didnt like the combat it was a bit bitty, and grafix although art was top marks technically it was a shambles, with even cut scenes with bad frama rates, tearing and cut scenes ended many times without all textures loaded in.

many ppl love mass effect but it wasnt for me. the exploration on foot and usage of buggy was a joke, they should have just used teleports instead.

but keep playing it you may end up liking it a lot.

Ive found exactly the same thing. Some elements are great but the planets are all the same! And it gets too hard, too quickly

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

After 6 hours or so the game becomes sick. On a good way lol

Sidequests are pretty rubbish if they are set on uncharted worlds. However, I am on my second playthrough, and I was very happy spending about 2 hours walking around the citadel doing various tasks, the story is just so awesome. On my first playthrough, I played as a soldier, and you really do not get the best out of the game, so I have now started a second playthrough as a Vanguard, and it is just awesome, it is so much more fun when you can lift people up in the air. Just give it some time, it is awesome

I didn't have too many problems with difficulty or aiming.

I agree completely with the exploring planets bit. Completely useless.

Well I wont be getting this game so.

Mind you I find rpg games hard to get in to.
Tried oblivion and gave up after a few days.
Some folks recommend walkthroughs to get the full potential out of them.
