Can't say that for all the IPs Sony whored out into rehab.
9 Ratchets in 9 years. |
Why are you mentioning Ratchet & Clank? Please check your facts:
1) Insomniac Games isn't owned by Sony, they're independent.
2) The first R&C game was in November of 2002, so we're not even at the 7 year mark yet.
3) It's not just 9 games either. It's 9 games, 1 port, and 2 spin-offs. Busy folks.
4) The only crappy R&C game, IMO, is Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters for the PS2 because it was a near direct port from the PSP version and it was developed by High Impact Games (IG was busy developing Resistance and Tools of Destruction).

Oh, I'm sorry, it seems like you have either 12 Ratchets in 7 years, or just 9 Ratchets in 7 years, but you were just describing a few. Either way, the truth you revealed makes it look worse.
It is a Sony exclusive series, so they go along with Sony, Insomaniac or not. Idon't care about the specifics right now. R&C is just an example, so before you break out the rubric again, just realize it is just that.
Crash, Spyro, Syphon Filter, and to a lesser extent Jak&Daxter, they were all repeatedly represented on Sony consoles and they suffered as a result.
Nintendo has the Mario Sports games and the Wario/Mario party stuff,I know, overindulging. However, Mario {Galaxy} games only come once a generation. Zeldas come 1-2 (more often 2 than 1). But whenever they come out, they are Very fresh experiences. Not like Max Payne 1 to Max Payne 2, where there was relatively no change.
