The game is not coming to PC/360 until early 2010, so why are EA and Bioware hyping it so much now. I know it is going to have a decent E3 showing, but why tease us so much when it is still so far away.... I think I need to go and play Mass Effect 1 to ease the pain

because unlike sony. MS knows how to advertise their top games.

Blast. I had a typo in my original post. It meant to say "I struggle to call it that"

You have full customization of your combos. You don't use the same ones throughout the game.

I pointed them out because you can create your own character in both games.

And in Demon's Souls, your actions had direct influence on the world. (Look at world tendency and player tendency)

And lastly, you choose must have meant character creation rather than character development. In WRPG, the story and character development always takes the backseat. JRPGs put the story to the forefront. There isn't anything wrong with either, it's entirely subjective.

How is this relevant? MS isn't advertising this game......

I cant even complete mass effect 1 for crying out loud! Damn it!

Stuck in a certain area?

Unlikely.  It's far more plausible that he's stuck staring at Tali's foxy hips.

The most plausible scenario is that he's in an elevator and its taking forever... Or possibly running down a hallway.

I was thinking he'd be stuck at the blue biotic lady(forgot her name) shes da** near impossible to kill as a Soldier.

Her henchmen were hell! She wasn't really that strong once you popped the henchmen, they're the ones who caused all the problems for me. It took me 7-8 tries (as a soldier) to get it and was probably one of the hardest parts of the game!

Big fucking lol @ "ME2 GOTY" comments.

And whys that?

ME1 is widely regarded as the best RPG this gen.

By who?! I'm not even sure if Mass Effect makes into the Top 5.

You're in the minority my friend.

A lot of people consider Fallout 3 or Fable 2 to be a better RPG, and a tiny amount consider Valkyrie better as well, but precious few that have played this gem think it is outside their top five.

Not everyone is blessed with the oppurtunity to play all the good RPGs.

@ Ton77

EA will be the ones advertising, not Microsoft.

This seems to be a pretty common practice, and especially for major games that have a release date that falls in the first or second quarter of a calendar year.  I mean look at MGS4, it was hyped at E3 2007 even though it didn't come out until June 2008.  The same for RE5 and many other games that were released during the first half of the year.  Maybe Mass Effect 2 feels different for you because you anticipate it more than other titles that have done it in the past?

@ stage, I'm going for the ally achievements, and as I am a soldier, and Wrex is awesome, Tali is basically the only other option

What exactly is the achievement for per se?

Completing the majority of the game with a certain ally, so there is one for each of them

@ legend, well yeah, I wasn't that excited about MGS 4, and I just don't care about Resi, but it is the way they are teasing things, they are barely giving us any information, but making us think that there is some just around the corner....

Thats not true. In WRPG's characters develop throughout the story into great heroes. In JRPG's it is already assumed they are great heroes and thats why you are playing as them. With WRPG's you make the story, in JRPG's the you're just following a linear string. I saw the Combos in White knight chronicles and they were extremely redundant. I grew bored seeing the same character juggling his opponent in the air; However, I liked the shield block and strike technique. The combos were boring, so eventually I turned it off. The knight still looks pretty cool though. It's good that JRPG's are becoming more like WRPG's though, because they weren't RPG's before.
