As others have said, theirs was more an arrangement where MS funded their projects for exclusivity. Similar to the Sony-Insomniac relationship if anything.

Currently dreaming of: DKC4 or Sonic the Hedgehog 4 (classic 2D platformers) for WiiWare, Smash Bros. for DSi, New Super Mario World for DSi, a Wii remake or true sequel of Final Fantasy Tactics.

One down, hopefully more awesomeness to come.

Remember when Kojima had a 360 in his office? Yeah, it's pretty much the same thing here. Besides, I wouldn't get too excited about their games. Even though they're decent, there are far better JRPG developers out on the market.

It's pretty obvious that he wanted:

Blue Dragon = Dragon Quest
Lost Odyssey = Final Fantasy

What Sakaguchi does not understand is that he is has been who makes terrible games, he needs to stick to surfing and give up the games. Nomura knew how to move on as did Kitase......this guy is just useless. :(

It's post's like this that make me secrectly admire and stalk you from the sidelines of lurking-hood. :D

Nintendo should buy them and partner them with Monolith. That could probably be a pretty nice RPG studio.

he is talking about the Dev kit not the console, the dev kit is the green one, developers use that kit to make games on wii.

I kinda suspected they may have shifted to the Wii.

All talk of their 360 projects has gone deathly silent, and apparently Cry On was canned.

Microsoft got their deal for Final Fantasy XIII and none of Mistwalker's games really sold great on the 360.

Wii probably is the best bet for Sakaguchi and co. going forward. If they can get in as a Nintendo 2nd party that probably would be the best fit for them.
